Discipleship & Church Revitalization

According to experts in the field, between 80% and 90% of all churches in the U.S. are currently in need of some level of revitalization. Revitalization is an intentional leadership effort to align the church’s culture and practice to the biblical mission and mandates. The purpose is to see God bring greater spiritual health and growth to the congregation. This can only happen with a renewed commitment to discipleship and a missional focus.

The Association’s Revitalization Team stands ready to assess and assist churches in their journey toward health, whether that be through Revitalization or Replanting. Replanting is recommended when broader change and outside involvement are needed.

A revitalization cohort of local pastors and church leaders meets each year from February to October. Sessions focus on the renewal of the pastor, connecting him with other pastors, and examining the steps toward revitalizing their church. Regular coaching meetings provide support as the pastor seeks to implement what he is learning.

The Suwannee Baptist Association desire is to equip and encourage churches and pastors. If you or your church is interested in knowing more about how the Revitalization Team can assist you, or if you are interested in being a part of the next cohort, please reach out to one of the contacts below:
